Kyle Richards' Husband Has No Idea She Recently Revealed She Lost Her Virginity to C. Thomas Howell
"We don't talk about that, he's like: 'You weren't born until I met you,' " the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star tells PEOPLE Now
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have been married almost 20 years – but that doesn’t mean he needs to know everything about his reality star wife.
In fact, according to Richards, her hubby doesn’t know that she revealed on Andy Cohen‘s SiriusXM channel Monday that she lost her virginity to her first boyfriend C. Thomas Howell, who recently starred on Bravo’s Girlfriends Guide to Divorce.
“I have not talked about this with my husband, I just hope my husband is so busy in meetings today,” Richards, 46, told PEOPLE Now of whether she and Umansky had discussed her recent confession.
According to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, the only reason she even admitted the intimate detail in the first place was because she felt comfortable in Cohen’s radio studio.
“Because I don’t talk like that, or think, or you know – I would never even talk like that, but Andy … you know, you’re in the booth, you have the little earphones on, you feel like you’re in a quiet … just the two of you,” explained Richards, 46.
Richards said she told Cohen, 47, not to ask that question, but the Watch What Happens Live host convinced her it was fine since “it was 100 years ago.”
“And I said yes and next thing I know, people are sending me pictures [of me and Howell]! I was like, ‘Great!’ ” Richards said with a laugh.
Richards and Umansky, who works in real estate, got married in January 1996. They have three daughters together: Alexia, 19, Sophia, 15, and Portia, who was born in 2008. Richards is also mom to daughter Farrah Aldjufrie, 27, from a previous marriage.
According to Richards, her hubby is an old-school romantic: “He’s like, ‘You weren’t born until I met you and that’s just the way it goes,’ ” Richards explained.
And as for her former flame, the Bravo star chalks up their breakup to their young age: “Well, we were kids. We were, you know, teenagers. I was with him until I got married the first time.”

Kyle Richards is clearing up any doubt as to whether Yolanda Foster has Lyme disease.
“She 100 percent has Lyme disease, and she’s absolutely suffering,” Richards told PEOPLE Now just weeks after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 6 supertease (which PEOPLE exclusively premiered) showed some of the Housewives seemingly questioning their costar’s diagnosis.
Richards said the Housewives’ doubts were about whether “there was something in addition” to Foster’s Lyme disease, which she was diagnosed with in 2012.
“Because you know, she went through a lot of different things to try to feel better – she took out the mercury in her fillings and she had implants and she took those out – she was doing everything and flying all over the world to do every kind of treatment you could imagine,” Richards explained. “And so I think that’s why a lot of eyebrows were kind of raised, but she absolutely has Lyme disease and is 100 percent struggling. Every day is a struggle for her.”
“I don’t think anyone doubts that she has Lyme disease, I think they were wondering about other things as well,” Richards added.
The reality star, 46, also fiercely denied any similarities between Foster’s health struggle to the health scandal unfolding on the Real Housewives of Orange County surrounding Vicki Gunvalson‘s ex Brooks Ayers, who recently confessed to forging medical documents to prove he has cancer.
“You cannot compare the two situations,” Richards said. “What they went through in Orange County and what was going on there, we didn’t know [about] and it is a very different situation. Someone completely inventing that they have something, for whatever reason – attention, I don’t know. Yolanda is sick. Yolanda is suffering. She has Lyme disease, 100 percent.”
