Kyle Richards Is Not on Board with Daughter Alexia Becoming a Real Housewife: 'You Learned Nothing' from Me’
Kyle Richards does not want her daughters to follow in her footsteps.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star's daughter Alexia, whom she shares with ex Mauricio Umansky, might have her sights set on becoming a housewife herself. But that doesn't mean Richards is okay with it.
"Someone mentioned that the other day and she said, 'Oh, I could see myself doing that,'" Richards, 56, tells PEOPLE of the possibility of Alexia, 28, joining the Bravo franchise after she gets married to Jake Zingerman.
"And I thought, 'What are you talking about? You learned nothing from what I've gone through.'"
"Oh my gosh. Can you imagine?" Richards says as she thinks about her oldest daughter joining the Real Housewives world — and not just as a daughter, but as a Housewife herself — on the red carpet at the 50th Gracie Awards in Los Angeles on May 20.
"I've already had two sisters on the show, now I have a daughter. Yeah, I'm okay. I think I'll have to pass on that."
While her daughter is making her interest clear, Richards' own future when it comes to the Bravo universe is not so cut and dry.
She told PEOPLE last month when asked if she'll return for RHOBH season 15 that she still needs to "make that decision" because she knows the clock is “ticking.”
"I mean, it's very difficult for your life [to be] out there and have the world weighing in on analyzing things and people not knowing you know the full scope of full details. And judging you without being able to explain everything, it's very difficult.”
“So it depends on what year and what season, whether I can handle it or not,” she said.

Kyle Richards is ready to make daughter Alexia Umansky’s wedding dreams come true.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 56, shared with PEOPLE at the 50th Gracie Awards on Tuesday, May 20, that she is maintaining a light touch when it comes to helping her 28-year-old daughter with wedding planning.
"Alexia is so specific and really has a vision of what she wants," Richards tells PEOPLE. "So, I'm just there to lend my support and lend an ear and a credit card when she needs it."
Earlier this week, Richards helped celebrate Alexia and her fiancé Jake Zingerman at their engagement party alongside her ex Mauricio Umansky. The RHOBH star was seen wearing a striking burgundy sequined gown detailed with feathers on the skirt, while Mauricio, 54, coordinated in a burgundy suit with a black dress shirt and burgundy tie.
When asked about what it was like to reunite with Mauricio — whom she separated from in July 2023 — at the event, Richards had only positive words for her ex.
"We get along. We see each other all the time and we get along great," she said. "So that part's easy. We're family."
Last month, Richards — who also shares daughters Sophia, 25, and Portia, 17, with Mauricio and daughter Farrah Aldjufrie, 36, with ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie — opened up about her secret to navigating a co-parenting relationship.
"Mauricio and I get along really well. You know, we both want the best for each other," she shared at last month's An Unforgettable Evening Benefiting the Women’s Cancer Research Fund event. "We love our daughters. So we were very good friends. I have his back. He has mine."
"I think we're just really good friends, and we always have been, so that came in handy. That's one good thing out of that," she added.
